Route for Wednesday, June 21

With today’s extreme heat, let’s seek out some shade on today’s run route! We’ll run down Summitt, left on 63rd, left on Trolley Trail to 51st, back to Loose Park! It’s 4 miles (you could run south of 63rd for extra distance), and be sure to bring water! And whether you run or walk, get ready for Random Acts of Pride rewards afterwards to help cool off!

Running route for Wednesday, June 7th

Pride may be over, but we’ll be running proud all month long! For the runners, Kevin Hill has selected tonight’s 4.2 mile route, which takes us from Loose Park down Summit St with some shade cover, right on 63rd, right on Ward Parkway, then before you get to 55th, follow Sunset downhill all the way to Wornall, then right on Wornall up the hill (sorry David) back to Loose Park. Randy will be thinking of us sweating while he rehearses for the Heart Men’s Chorus “Show Tunes Showdown”, go so him perform this weekend, and come see us tonight at Loose Park!

KC Frontrunners at Pride

KC Frontrunners Pride BoothThe Kansas City Frontrunners and Walkers are all over Pride this year with our very own booth!  We’re in the third vendor tent you pass through on your way to the main stage.  Although we are fortunate to know a ton of people in the LGBT community in Kansas City, it’s also great to reach out and make new friends too!  Stop by our booth, say hi, and join us for a run or walk, and fun social events all year long!  Special thanks to our volunteers and member support for making our Pride appearance a success!
